  Simon Walker has, quite simply, changed my life; and I don't say that lightly. I have struggled with an undiagnosed condition for 30 years, and had long ago given up visiting doctors of any description due to the incredibly demoralising way I was made to feel during and after every visit. I only saw Mr Walker as I was basically forced to by my family, and I was at my wits end. Personally I think every training consultant/ GP / registrar should sit in on one of his consultations. He manages to cram into 3 1/2 nano seconds more bedside manner, information, positivity, and activity than any other medical person I have encountered in the last decade. He gives eye contact - a huge rarity - and he appears interested - another rarity. He asks questions and waits for the answer. He has restored my faith. He also, through dogged determination, found a cure for me; and I am so so delighted. I can now work normally for the first time in so many years. I just wish I had met him sooner. I have been made to feel like I was a time waster at best, a hypochondriac at worst, and through all that time I had to try to carry on without professional help. I make no apologies for this essay - he deserves high praise. Thank you so much.
